Children's Ministry

Our Children's Ministry focuses on the fundamentals necessary for developing spiritual growth in a child.

These fundamentals include Bible study, discipleship, fellowship activities, missions’ education, music, recreation, and several special activities throughout the year.  We invite your children to be a part of our Children Ministries.

Security Check-in

First and foremost, your children's safety is top priority at Victory Baptist church.  Before your child goes into their respective classrooms, they must first be signed in by an adult at our Security Desk located in the lobby of the Education Building.

First time students will need to have an information form filled out by their parent or guardian.  After that the child's name is written on the child's class sheet by their parent or guardian. The parent or guardian will then will receive a number card that matches their child's name slot. The parent will hold on to that card until after church, when the child is picked up.

The student may now be escorted to their class room by their parent. This area is monitored at all times by our Safety Team, who also administrates the check-in/out procedure and security cameras.  A member of the Safety Team will always be at the security check-in desk in the event that you need to pick up your child early, or if you have any other questions or concerns.

Sign in begins at 9:45am, before Sunday School.

Sunday School: Kids Sunday Morning Bible Classes

Nursery class is located in the main (sanctuary) building, to the right of the main entry and is for ages birth to 3 years.  Linda Williams "teaches" through songs, children's Bible stories and color sheets, as well as children's Bible videos.  Through positive Christian influences, your infant and toddler's knowledge of Jesus begins to bloom.

Pre-K thru 5th-Grade classrooms are located on the upper level hall of the  Education Building.  Each classroom has it's own teacher who broadens your child's knowledge and understanding of the Bible, who Jesus is and Salvation through Bible lessons, fun songs and activities.

Middle and High School classrooms are located on the lower level of the Educational Building. These classes are aimed at age appropriate, Godly life lessons, helping your tweens and teens understand how to deal with problems they're facing now, where they're at, as they encourage a deeper relationship with Jesus.

Victory Kids: Kid's Sunday Morning Worship Service

Victory Kids is our children's church program for our Pre-K to 5th grade students. These classes are also located in the upper hall of the Education Building. The children who are signed in during Sunday school, stay in their SS rooms.  Those who didn't attend Sunday School must first be signed in by an adult at the Youth Center's security desk.  Your children are under constant adult supervision.

At the close of Sunday School, the teachers will transition with our Team Leaders around 10:45am to begin the next phase of Victory Kids.  Parents/Guardians have the option of picking up their child after Sunday School to attend the worship service with them in the main sanctuary or stay in Victory Kids with our Team Leaders.

At the beginning of the Adult Worship service, our Victory Kid students go to Meeting Room A (the old sanctuary) in two separate groups, for a time of age appropriate group instruction and worship.   The parent/guardian of any child is able to retrieve their child at anytime throughout the service simply by presenting their ID card to a member of the Safety Team.  Likewise, at any point during the service that we feel your presence is needed, your child's number will flash at the bottom of the screens in the sanctuary.

Wednesday Night Awanas

What is AWANA? A-approved  W-workman  A-are  N-not  A-ashamed

AWANA is a children's ministry program used by numerous churches across the globe,  committed to the belief that the greatest impact for Christ starts with kids who know, love and serve Him. Awana reaches kids for Christ through fun, Scripture-rich experiences, through Bible memorization and study that lead them to know, love and serve Him.

During the school year, we have Awanas for students K thru 5th-grade which begins at 6:30pm. The Awana program follows the Polk County School calendar.  So if the Polk county schools are out for any reason, including summer break, we will not have Awana that week.  On these off-weeks, the children join the adults in the sanctuary for group worship and Bible study.
